Lincolnshire Automobile Club

Annual Report of the Committee 1943

           Back

With the continuance of the War and the further restrictions upon the motoring public, we have to report a further loss of 50 members, one new member only being secured during the year, in many cases there has been the assurance that a return to membership will follow the canceling of these restrictions and the restoration of the supply of Petrol for private motoring.

For the first time in the Club’s history the Balance sheet shows loss of £5.11s.3d

The Committee are convinced however that after the expiration of the War period, there will be great opportunities for the extension of the Club’s influence in the County with the more general use of the motor Vehicle for business and private uses.

At the earliest possible moment after the cessation of the conflict, steps will be taken to restore the safeguards that the club can influence for motoring generally.
